THE MIDDLE WEEKEND
Well we all know now that the weather changed from tropical to arctic, and we actually had hailstones.
The Saturday races were postponed until Monday, the decision taken when the weather forecast showed similar weather was expected for the Sunday.
This is when it is good to have the car over, but even with the heater on, I still felt sorry for the campers in the muddy fields.
Saturday was wet and cold but I visited some of the old haunts and ate in the Pizza Parlour in Colours.I also met up with Shaun Harris at a function in the "Cat with No Tail".
Sunday was brighter but cold. I had been invited to the unveiling of the plaque at the original site of the Honda Garage in 1959 when they first arrived.
I met 1979 TT winner Alex George at the unveiling.
